With the opening words of the Embassy International Festival of Underwater - NPO and MAR have wanted to clear the message and the deep meaning of the training program "Un Passaporto per il Mare".
IDEA
Un Passaporto per il Mare is open to middle and high schools and offers a curriculum in which the experience and the use of technologies and new forms of communication offer new learning opportunities on Maritime Heritage.
GOALS
Spread among the younger generation's knowledge of the coastline and seabed, the cultures that have progressed through to the water and retrieve design guidelines for the teaching of sustainable development and economic growth in respect and proper use of a resource yet to be explored . "Un Passaporto per il Mare" is an original design and a popular cultural path that the MAR and the AFIIS Association - NPO produce for years with the middle school, high and low, on issues of environmental and sustainable development, within the Pelagos Sea Heritage, the institutional communication campaign on the Maritime Heritage.
EDUCATIONAL PROJECT
Un Passaporto per il Mare meets young students between 11 and 18 years, to raise awareness of maritime heritage and the implications of environmental, cultural, scientific and technological and proposes that it contains. The project consists of three steps:
1 - SCHOOLS MEETINGS: informal classes taught by marine biologists and experts in communication, with the support of audiovisual and interactive tools.
2 - INTERACTIVE WORKSHOPS AND EDUCATIONAL LABS: during Pelagos - Sea Heritage Exhibition, the exhibition area dedicated to culture and communication of the Maritime Heritage of BIG BLUE ROME EXPO, containes workshops, interactions and entertaining moments to complete the training program for the schools.

PASSPORT TO THE CITIZEN OF THE OCEANS
Un Passaporto per il Mare is also an opportunity for young people to get the "Passport of Citizen of the Oceans", an initiative sponsored by the UNESCO World Ocean Network, which allows children to receive a booklet on which identify the record actions taken to protect the marine environment and thus aspire to become "Ocean Ambassador".
